The city that stands on the river, starts from the embankment. The central embankment of Volgograd is two terraces on the right side of the Volga. It has the name of the 62nd Army, with the force of which Stalingrad held the line for 180 days. The embankment is located in a walk distance from many cafes, bars and restaurants. The ideal option is to visit “Schastiye est’” (“Happiness exists”) before or during the walk, take food and make a picnic in the shadows of the trees with a view on the opposite bank of the Volga. Or you can take a walk to a new interactive museum – “Russia – my history”.
